SANTA CLARA TAKES DOWN THE GAELS

In their second game of the weekend, Santa Clara came out flying against their WCLL Central division rival Gaels of St. Mary's College.  The Broncos unleashed a 32 shot barrage on the Gael defense and took a 9-2 lead into halftime. In the second half, the defense stepped up and held St. Mary's scoreless while the offense kept the pressure on the Gaels goaltenders with 8 more goals for a 17-2 final score.  Having another outstanding game was sophomore attackman Charlie Ellis , (Ross, CA) with 3 goals and 3 assists. He was joined by sophomore midfielder Greg Croak , (Medfield, MA) with 4 goals and one assist.  Freshman face off specialist, Brian McGlynn , (Rockville, MD) continued his domination of the faceoff square winning 13 of 22 draws.

Our thanks to all the parent's who made the trip to watch the weekend's games and whose continued support of the program is greatly appreciated. 

The Broncos hope to continue their winning ways this Saturday when the Chico State Wildcats travel to the Mission campus for a 2:00 PM game.
