Carter enters his third season with the Broncos, his second
as captain, after returning from Stevens Tech where he completed his sophomore
year. Carter notched 10 goals and 8 assists last season, finishing fifth on the
team in total points. Donnici, the Bronco’s starting goaltender the past two
seasons also returns as a repeat captain. Donnici started 13 games in 2007,
posting a 9.08 goals against average and a .566 save percentage. He was named a
2nd Team All-WCLL member in ’07 and to the Honorable Mention All-WCLL team in
2006. Swoboda enters his second season with the Broncos after
playing at Cal Poly his freshman year. Mark, the team’s top faceoff man posted
97 wins and 72 losses at the “X” last season for a .574 win percentage.
Starting all 14 games last season, Swoboda led the Red and White in goals,
assists and points (28,14,42 respectively). He was named a 2nd Team All-WCLL
member in ’07 and was also an Honorable Mention All America. "We are very excited about the three young men the team
has elected as captains this season. They are exactly the same players the
coaches would have selected," said Head Coach Gary J Podesta . "These
three players have demonstarated success on and off the field and have proven
to be leaders last season and this fall."
