Coach Rick Blick

The Santa Clara Men’s Lacrosse Team lost a crucial member of the program this past week, Head Coach Rick Blick passed away on Monday June 2^nd due to complications of a brain aneurysm he suffered a few days before. 

Coach Blick started his coaching career at Santa Clara in 2012 as an assistant and took on the role of head coach the following year in 2013. In his first year as head coach, Coach Blick lead the Broncos to a 5-7 season that began with a 3-0 start which had not happened since the Broncos became a part of the MCLA in 2005.

Coach Blick was loved and respected by not only the people he coached, but by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. He was an inspiring, energetic, and exceptional individual who lived life to the fullest and he will be missed dearly.

This Monday, June 9^th at 8pm there will be a memorial service in the Santa Clara Mission church to celebrate the life of Rick Blick, all are invited to attend.
