Dear Santa Clara Lacrosse Alumni, Family and Friends,

We would like to formally invite you to our Annual Santa Clara Lacrosse Banquet. The banquet will be held the weekend of SCU's Grand Reunion, on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. on Campus at Santa Clara University. We welcome all alumni, parents, and families (past and present) to the event as we join to celebrate the past, recent and future success of the Santa Clara University Men’s Lacrosse Program.

TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT, please visit our website Home Page at WWW.SCULAX.ORG.

During the Banquet on Friday Night, we will continue the Santa Clara Men's Lacrosse Hall of Fame tradition with the induction of two esteemed Lacrosse Alumni. We will also be having a special Ceremony to retire the number of one of Santa Clara Lacrosse’s most distinguished Hall of Fame Members, Mark Daoust (’93).

The Class of 2018 Hall of Fame inductees are:

Steve Nemsick '93
After transferring to Santa Clara from Boston University in his Sophomore year, Nemsick made an immediate impact on the defense, and was a 3-year starter during the 1991-1993 seasons. As a Defender, Nemsick’s wizardry with the stick, and his ability to strip the ball from the opponents at will, made him a dominant force in the WCLL, where he was voted to the All-League Team two years in a row. “Nemi” was a vacuum on GBs, and frequently left opponents in the dust with his deft stickwork and dodging on clears. In 1993, Steve was a key to Santa Clara's best season in history, as his defense helped SCU to an undefeated WCLL season and 3rd place, after defeating Cal during the West Coast Final Four Tournament. Nemsick’s contributions to the sport didn't end at Santa Clara. He continued to play in various leagues and is a regular attendee at the alumni game for Fox Lane High School in NY. Steve’s career in film, editing, and production has taken him around the world helping to tell stories. He is currently back in his home state of New York, where he owns his own production company, and lives with his wife Nelcida, his son Hudson, and another one on the way!!

Scott Brittain '07
A local son hailing from St Ignatius in San Francisco, Scott had a fantastic career at Santa Clara University. Ranking in the top 10 in All Time Career Goals (#8), Assists (#9) and Points (#7), Scott's statistics alone place him among the Broncos All Time Elite performers. But Scott’s contributions were more than just his stats, as he was a 4-Year starter, 3-Time Captain, and an All-League Honoree. Scott was a force to be reckoned with across the MCLA, as a double threat going to the net, as well as one of the best feeders in school history. His contributions definitely carried over to his post-SCU days. Scott was a Varsity Assistant Coach in the nationally ranked St Ignatius lacrosse program for many years, as well as helping coach with other local clubs and travel teams. Scott received his degree in Business Marketing from SCU, and currently works as a Realtor in his hometown of San Francisco.

A fantastic tri-tip dinner will be served, and we will hold a raffle with some nice prizes. Proceeds from this Event serve to help SCU Men's lacrosse meet their fundraising goals for the 2018/19 season. Last year was a great event, and we look forward to seeing you there again this year!!
