Location:Santa Clara University
Details:Dear Santa Clara Lacrosse Alumni, Family and Friends,
We would like to formally invite you to our Annual Santa Clara Lacrosse Banquet. The banquet will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 7 p.m. on Campus at Santa Clara University. We welcome all alumni, parents, friends, and families to the event as we join to celebrate the recent and future success of the Santa Clara University Men’s Lacrosse Program. We are excited to announce that this years Banquet will include an increase in the SCU Lacrosse Hall of Fame membership! This years inductees will include:
RUSH LASELLE '95-Rush was a 4 year contributor to the team from 1992-1995 seasons. As a Faceoff specialist, Rush dominated opponents in the WCLL, and as a midfielder, is one of SCU's top Assist leaders. Rush was a key in Santa Clara's best season in history, 1993, when his Overtime goal against Cal lifted the Broncos to a 3rd Place Finish on the West Coast, after going undefeated in the WCLL that year. Rush's contributions to the sport didnt end at Santa Clara. He continued to play in various Mens Leagues, and has accumulated an impressive record of "giving back" as a coach at many levels. Rush's career in Business Development currently has him stationed back in his home state of Colorado, with his wife Melanie and kids.
LUKE YOUNG '05-Luke sits alone atop the all time Assist Leaders in SCU Lax history, and is in the top 5 for all-time points, a pretty distinguished group. As an Attackman for SCU during the 2002 thru 2005 seasons, Luke was a 4 year Captain for the team, a force on the field, and helped lead Santa Clara to a WCLL playoff appearance in his Senior Year. Luke comes from a long family line of Lacrosse in Vermont, and accumulated All-American Honors both at Santa Clara U and at Woodstock Union High, where his dad was Head Coach for 10 seasons. Luke's post-collegiate lax activities have included coaching at various High School camps and participating on a few Bay Area Mens League teams. He currently resides in Sacramento where he works as a Purchasing Manager.
In addition to our HOF Ceremony, a fantastic dinner will be served, with drinks, and we will hold a raffle with some nice prizes. Proceeds from this dinner serve to help SCU lacrosse's fundraising goals for the 2017/18 season. We hope to see you there!!
