Biography

     Bruce Meierdiercks is from Long Island where he Played for Richie Moran (a Cornell Legend) at Elmont High. While at Elmont he was named First team ALL NASSAU COUNTY.  He went on to attend Adelphi University where he was named Captain, All-Metropolitan, MVP, and FIRST TEAM ALL AMERICA in 1972. After Adelphi he played for the LONG ISLAND LACROSSE CLUB from 1973-1976, and was nominated for  the USA WORLD TEAM. He was selected ALL CLUB in 1974 and 1975.

     He began his coaching career on Long Island at Elmont, North shore, Sewanhaka high schools before coming to Santa Clara University for the first time in 1992 where he stayed for two years where he compiled a record of 24-4. He started the NCAA Div II program at St. Andrews
College in Laurinburg, NC and coached the team from 1994 -1997. While coaching this team, he maintained a national ranking of fourth 3 years in a row, helped produce 4  NCAA All AMERICANS, and was named NCAA DEEP SOUTH CONFERENCE Coach of
the year  1996.  He also started Varsity lacrosse at Tamalpias High in Marin(2003) and then was head coach at Carmel High (2011),

     Bruce returned to Santa Clara University as Assistant Head Coach in  2012 and
will lead the Broncos as Head Coach in 2013.
