SBCC File PhotoSan Luis Obispo, CA - SBCC women's lacrosse was back in action after a weekend off with a game on the road in San Luis Obispo. The Vaqueros played the Cal Poly SLO 'B' team and despite playing well at times throughout the game couldn't get get enough going on offense. The Mustangs led 8-3 at halftime and won 15-6. SBCC head coach Jillian Boyd thought her team made some breakthroughs during the game, despite the final score.

"We played well, the best so far this year, we just were playing one of the better teams on our schedule," said Boyd.

The Mustangs improved to 6-1 with the win while SBCC dropped their second contest in a row and is under .500 for the first time this season with a 3-4 record. The Vaqueros are 1-0 against community college competition, 2-1 against four year school 'B' teams and 0-2 against four year school 'A' teams.

Next up for SBCC is a game versus Sonoma State on Sunday at UCSB. The opening draw is 1pm on the Rob Field turf. The Mustangs host Nevada-Reno on March 20th.
