SDC shows off its muscle in the 1st annual USD Playday

SDC took on San Diego State, University of San Diego, and Shooterz at USD's first annual playday.  SDC rocked their pink-and-orange jerseys in preparation for the Hawaii Invitational Lacrosse Tournament, and celebrated SDC member Julia Sullivan's birthday in lax style.

In the first game, SDC shook off some rust and took on a very talented SDSU team who had fresh legs and plenty of conditioning.  SDC struggled to get consistent looks but kept up with the young Aztecs who showed that they are ready for the upcoming season.

In the second game, SDC showed its dominance against the Shooterz.  SDC made the most of their possessions, burying multiple goals before the Shooterz could produce one of their own.  SDC came away with a convincing win despite the high temperatures on the field.

The final game of the day was against USD.  The Torreros had been trying different combinations all day but SDC came out with a vengeance, dominating the draw circle and scoring goals in bunches.  SDC came away with another dominant win to close out a very successful playday.

Special thanks to the coaches, players, and staff at USD who produced a top-notch playday on some great turf fields.  We can't wait to participate next year!
