A differential in ball possessions cost the Raiders Varsity, as they lost 73% of the faceoffs and had a number of passing errors, failed clear attempts, and missed ground ball opportunities, that put the Rangers back on offense where they had a lot of opportunities to try to break down the Roseville defense. The Rangers also had an extra power play opportunity where they were 2 for 4. The Raiders were 1 for 3 on power plays.

Roseville was up 3 goals to 2 part way into the second quarter, but then Forest Lake ran off 6 unanswered goals against an injured and tired Raiders defense. Roseville finally answered back with a goal with 1:22 left in the half, leaving it at 4-8 for the intermission, during which the Rangers celebrated Senior Night.

Each team added a goal in the 3rd. Early in the 4th, the Rangers again got on a roll, controlling the ball and outscoring the Raiders 3-1 to make it 6-12.  The Raiders ended the game with a flurry of shots and got the final 3 goals of the game, but on each Forest Lake faceoff win or Roseville turnover they took minutes off the clock and shut down the comeback attempt at 9-12.

Mitchell Olesen got a hat trick, and 2 goals were scored by each of the captains, Sam Radovich, Drew Liberkowski and Jeremy Suciu. Six different Raiders had an assist (Radovich, Lukas Peine, Liberkowski, Suciu, Olesen, Kyle Fuller).

Both teams had a good perfomances in the goals, with the Raiders getting 9 goals on around 20 shots on goal (12 in the 4th quarter), while in the nets for the Raiders, Jakob Bakken stopped 12 of 24.
