Varsity Loss to Woodbury 3-8
The Raider Varsity team took advantage of some turnovers by Woodbury to get some scoring opportunites and goals, but the regular set offense didn't get or take many shots on goal. The Woodbury goaltender had as an easy night as only 6 total shots on goal by the Raiders were observed, resulting in 3 goals and 3 saves (2 of those saves coming in the closing seconds of the game). All of the rest of the offensive plays ended either in a turnover or missed shot where we didn't keep posession. The defense played well, and the Raiders got somewhat better at faceoffs and clears, although our faceoff win ratio was still only 3 out of 13. Woodbuy had a hot shooter in #23 who was invoved in 7 of their 8 goals, (5 goals, 2 assists). Video and neutral commentary available at PrepSpotlight.tv
