Fall Ball Opportunity

For those new to the program, we will likely be putting up either 2 or 3 teams in the EFLL (Eagles Fall Lacrosse League).  The cost is around $190 per player and usually includes some cool shorts and a pennie.  We'd be lucky if we got one or two practices in before our first game if we get any due to field constraints, etc.  Games are on Sundays starting in September at Milton HS through November and are low key and equal play.  It's a great opportunity to get sticks back in our player's hands and give the boys a chance to regroup without a lot of time commitment.  Our official spring coaches and any RHS Booster Club Board Members cannot be involved in any coaching of the teams due to GHSA rules.  Therefore, we rely on the handywork of our own fine parents that have prior coaching experience.   There are other leagues out there for the fall that are currently being explored as an alternative to EFLL.  

Regardless of where we play, we need to know who wants to be involved.  Please let me know by 7/24/12 if you'd like your son to play.  Many of the leagues require roster submissions by 8/1.    Ken Carney is heading up the overall Fall Ball program this year. Once our list of interested players is compiled, Ken will work with the coaches to sort out the team placements.  As you can imagine, many things need to be taken into account, most important of which is that all positions are covered on the teams.  We want to maximize play time for everyone.

So, please let us know if your son would like to play.  We'll add him to the list (no one will be turned away)!  We'll let everyone know in August more about the team rosters, play dates, payment information, etc.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
