WELCOME TO THE 2013 BATTLE AT THE BEACH!!

Boys & Girls U9 - U15 Tournament Rules:  

  •  All games will be 40 minutes - 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time.  Team receive one minute water break in each half.  Running clock.  All games on central horn.  One time out per team (clock keeps running).  No time outs in last two minute of game.
  • Three game minimum per team guaranteed.  Due to uneven brackets, some teams will play 4 games.  The 4th game does not count against that team.

  • All teams must submit a roster one hour before their first scheduled game.  No player may play on more than one team without the consent of the opposing coach and the tournament director.   All teams must be checked in at their field one hour before game time or 1:00 the latest on game day.  We will be at Landrum until 7:00 Friday night if you want to submit your roster then and receive your welcome packet.

  • Teams found to be playing with illegal players (by age or incorrect roster) may be asked to leave the Jamboree.

  • US Lacrosse rules applies.  U11 and higher boys may use D poles in Jamboree

  • Mercy Rules:  Girls 4 goal differential.  The team that is down gets ball at half field.   There must be one pass before a shot may be taken.  Boys:  4 goal differential. The team that is down gets the ball at half field. There must be one pass before a shot may be taken.  A team may decline the mercy rule.  Once the goal differential closes, back to draw and face-off..

  • U15 A Girls Modified Checking. • A game may not end on a defensive penalty.   In the event of a defensive penalty within the Critical Scoring Area, .03 seconds of play from free position will apply. (Girls)

  • All coaches have total responsibility for their players, friends, spectators etc and will be required to sign and submit agreement to a code of conduct when the roster is submitted.

  • No coach, player or spectator may use profanity or incite disruptive behavior in any manner.  Any adult taunting a player will be ejected from the Jamboree.

  • At each game, each team should have a parent man the score table.  At the end of the game, each coach will have to sign the score card and ensure it is returned to the Tournament Directors tent or picked by a score runner.

  • 3 Long Blast of an Air Horn  All clear the fields due to hazardous conditions.  Teams should report to their cars, or under cover.  Games are official after one half of play.  Game lengths may be modified to make up games as necessary.

  • Team Scoring:  Win= 5 points, loss =0.  Games cannot end in a tie.  They will got to a 3 v 3 Braveheart.  If no one scores, before the start of the next game.  The teams will select 3 players to continue the Braveheart throughout the day.  If still a tie after three attempts, winner determined by a coin toss.

  • Single Elimination Play offs.  For teams with tie records, seeding determined by head to head record, head to head goal differential against next highest teams.  Last Resort, coin toss.

Boys U7 Tournament Rules: 

  • Follow US Lacrosse guidelines for age.  

  • U7 players must be born on or after 9/1/2005.

  • 4 v 4 format for U7.  

  • Two 20 minute halves for U7.  

  • U7s will play on 50 x 25 field with box goals.

  • Each team must make one attempted pass on the offensive side of the midfield line prior to shooting.  Goal will not count if referee determines a pass was not attempted prior to the shot.

  • Penalties with possession will be handled by forced substitution of the offender with referee explanation of the infraction (teams remain at full strength).  

  • No body checks of any kind will be allowed.

  • Controlled stick checks permitted in accordance with NFHS rules.  Referees will be under instruction to be strict with slashing calls.

  • Each team will be permitted to keep a coach on the field.

  • Referees will be provided for the games.  

     

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER: Schedule may be modified if necessary due to inclement weather or poor field conditions. Teams are responsible for reporting for all make-up games as deemed by the tournament director. Failure to make-up previously scheduled games is grounds for tournament forfeiture.
