The Dogs fought hard this weekend but came up short in both their scrimmages against NCAA opponent Millsaps College and MCLA opponent ULL. The Dogs took on the Millsaps Majors in the first game, and lost in the final seconds 8-7. The Dogs controlled the lead throughout the game, but gave up three goals in the final few minutes, which resulted in the heart-breaker.

In their second game, just 30 minutes later, the Dogs took on a rested and physical University of Louisiana-Lafayette squad. The Cajuns jumped out on the Dogs early, taking a substantial lead. The Dogs bounced back into the game in the second quarter with some physical play. The game remained heated until the end, with the Cajuns prevailing over the tired Dogs by a score of 14-8.

MSU looks forward to their next outing, October 22, when they will travel up to Murfreesboro, TN to play in the NCLL Deep South Conference Fall Brawl Tournament. More details TBA.
