Coach Kolodin is in his 12th year of coaching the sport of lacrosse: Starting as the Head Director of Lacrosse at Camp Wayne, PA for 4 years; followed by 2 years of being the Head Coach of the 7th/8th grade team of Livingston, NJ; followed by another 2 years as the Head Coach of the St. Rose (Belmar, NJ) HS program; ultimately leading into his 4th year run as the Lakeland Regional HS Head Coach, where he currently resides. Coach Kolodin's playing career includes playing for the Livingston HS Lancers from 1999-2002; later playing for the Ithaca Bombers club program from 2003-2006; and since that time he has played on a variety of men's club/travel teams, and still does (ALL Jersey Shore Seahawks, TROG, NXT LEVEL Kean/Hoboken, The Northmen Box/Placid teams). His mentality is to teach as he coaches. The fundamental aspects of the sport are key in the development of the players. In order to get the best out of the players, you first need to concentrate on developing the player as a WHOLE. He stresses improving on not only Lacrosse Skills, but other key aspects such as Athleticism, Lacrosse IQ (knowledge of the sport and it's guidelines), and most importantly the coachability of a player. Outside of Lakeland, Coach Kolodin coaches the sport of lacrosse year round, for Patriot Lacrosse, located in the greater Morristown area of NJ. The program is highly competitive and typically send a large percentage of kids to play in the next level of NCAA D1,D2,D3,MCLA.
