Coach McPhie has several years of lacrosse coaching experience with success at several levels, and All Ohio honors in his playing days. In his first coaching assignment at Cincinnati Country Day School in 2001 his team won the Ohio state championship, and the following year finished in the Final Four. Two of his attackmen that he coached directly won All State honors. In that second year he was also the head coach of the middle school program leading them to their first ever winning season. At Neuqua Valley, as an assistant coach, he coached Neuqua's first ever playoff victory. Brian then coached at Benet Academy from 08-09 where he helped lead Benet to the 2008 Lacrosse Cup Championship. In 2010 he coached the Southern Illinois Lacrosse Club to their first ever playoff in the GLLL. As a player, Brian earned 8 varsity letters and All Ohio honors in two sports 7 times, 4 of which were in lacrosse at LSM, Defense, and Attack.
