Dublin Jerome High School has been selected to host the Under Armour All American Underclassman Lacrosse Tryouts for the Midwest team on June 7th and 8th.

Celtic's Lacrosse head coach AJ Auld has been selected the head coach of the Midwest team, which will compete in the Under Armour Underclassman Tournament at Towson University (Baltimore, MD) on June 27 and 28, 2009.  Coach Auld will be joined by Saint Ignatius Prep (CA) head coach Greg Angilly and another TBD assistant.

Under Armour and Corrigan Sports Entertainment expanded the Underclassman Tournament to include four new regions, which are Upstate NY, Long Island, NY, New England, and the Midwest.  The regions join the existing lacrosse hotbeds; Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New Jersey.

The best 24 non-graduated senior players in each region will be selected to each team.  The Midwest team will be comprised of the best-of-the-best players from all areas outside the traditional east-coast hotbeds, which represent the other 7 regions.  These areas include, but are not limited to, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MI, TX, OH, PA, and WA.

The Under Armour Underclassman Tournament has quickly become one of the hottest college recruiting events in the country, where the preeminent players come to compete and showcase their skills in front of lacrosse fans and college coaches.  The tournament is an eight-team pool play where both girls and boys will battle it out on the field as their region vies for the prestigious Under Armour Underclassman Championship.
