Celtics go 3-0 in Arizona

The Celtics recently completed the three-game spring break trip in Arizona. Despite playing in 4 games in 5 days, the team represented Ohio well by going 3-0 against some stiff competition.

In the first game we faced Chaparral, the three-time defending state champions. After getting accustom to the 90 degree heat the team pulled forward from a 4-4 halftime tie to win 11-6.

The second game was a little easier as we won 15-2. The school where we played actually had the grass field from the 2007 College Football National Championship.

Going into the trip we knew that the final game would be the toughest test against Brophy Prep. After a back and forth battle where we never trailed, we pulled ahead by 5 goals in the fourth quarter. Despite facing one of the best attackmen in the country (I believe he scored 5 of their goals against us), the team pulled together to finish with a solid 12-9 victory (with their ninth goal coming on a last second shot).

This was a great trip for the team and the coaching staff feels that significant progress was made in moving our team to the next level. The trip was summed up with the guys breaking it down on "O-H-I-O."
