Blue Moon LacrosseOct. 15, 2011 October 15th, 2011 - GW vs Blue Moon Lacrosse: Recap The Colonials came out firing in Saturday's contest against Blue Moon Lacrosse Club, ending the first quarter ahead 2-0. Blue Moon Lacrosse Club is composed of ex-varsity players from schools such as Mount St. Mary's, Gettysburg, and Georgetown (to name just a few). Blue Moon tied the game at 2-2 halfway through the 2nd quarter but a quick feed from attackman Joe Gumaer to fellow attackman Demetri Caminus ended the 2nd with the Colonials up 3-2. In the third, Blue Moon jumped ahead making the score 3-5; however, just before the horn to end the 3rd quarter, Junior midfielder David Goscinak melted top corner with a cannon of a shot to make the score 4-5. In the 4th, the Colonials kept Blue Moon to just 1 goal, while putting in 3 of their own to win the game 7-6. A great comeback victory!
