A former GW lacrosse player, Coach Lorentzen returns to the team for his second year as an Assistant Coach. Specializing in offensive strategy and playmaking, Coach Lorentzen helped lead the Colonials to a program best record of 12-3 and its first ever appearance in the NCLL National Championship. A DIII transfer from Dickinson College, Lorentzen initially came to GW as a lacrosse player in the Fall of 2009; however, after a devastating knee injury, he chose to stay with the team as coach.

Off of the field, Coach Lorentzen is responsible for managing many of the teams activities, including finances, fundraising, promotions, and travel logistics. This season, the Colonials increased fundraising activites twofold thanks to the partnership with CSC Event Staffing initiated by Coach Lorentzen.
