The Greenville Lacrosse Club fell to 1-4-0 on the season after two close losses at home.

In the home opener against Asheville, GLC trailed 5-4 at halftime but rallied back to a 8-7 lead with under a minute to play.  Asheville tied up the game with a buzzer beater, forcing OT and went on to win in the 4 minute sudden death.

Game 2 matched up Charleston against Asheville.  The Hurricanes came out strong dominating on face-offs, ground balls, and shots.  Charleston proved too much to handle as they went on to win 14-4.

Game 3 between Charleston and Greenville would be their second meeting this year.  Agressive play and checking kept the 1st half score at 3-2, with the Hurricanes in front.  A GLC player injury ended the 2nd quarter and led to an extended halftime as all waited for paramedics to arrive at the field.  The second half saw several lead changes as Greenville netted two quick goals to go ahead by one, but soon fell behind after giving up 3 man-down goals and never could recover.  Charleston went on to win 9-7, and tie the series at one game a piece.

GLC will face Charleston and Asheville in Charleston on April 14th.

Greenville Lacrosse Club's next games are away in Savannah against Coastal Empire and Jacksonville on Sunday, April 1st.
