Excalibur Lacrosse Club 2010 Spring Program

Excalibur Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce its 2010 Boys "Rising Star" Spring Program.

Excalibur will field 3 teams - a U-9 team for boys born in 2001 or later, a U-11 team for boys born in 1999 or later and a U-13 team for boys born in 1997 or later. The U-9 team will practice and have several scrimmages. The U-11 and U-13 teams will practice and play games against local competition. Practices will begin March 1, 2010 and will be held at Hooper Field at North Cross School.

Excalibur's Summer Travel Program Punctuated by Pirro Championship

Excalibur's 2009 summer travel program concluded with a championship in the 2009 John Pirro Invitational in Long Island, New York on July 19, 2009. Excalibur's teams played in Richmond, Virginia, Annapolis, Maryland and Long Island, New York this summer. Excalibur's U15 team is champion of the John Pirro Invitational

Excalibur's U15 team won the John Pirro Invitational played in Long Island, New York. Excalibur went 4 and 1 playing teams from Long Island and Texas and defeating the host team in the championship game.

Father's Day Invitational

Excalbur's teams played in the Father's Day Invitational on June 20th and 21st in Annapolis, Maryland. While all teams had a great tournament, Excalibur's U15 team exceled finishing 3 and 1.

Swift Creek Summer Slam

Four Excalibur teams (U11, U13, U15 and U19) played in the 2009 Swift Creek Summer Slam on May 30th and 31st in Richmond, Virginia. Each team made the playoffs after a 4 game pool-play schedule. U19 made the tournament finals in its age group and each of the other teams made the semi-finals falling to the eventual age group champion.

Welcome to the website of Excalibur Lacrosse Club of Roanoke, Inc.

Excalbur Lacrosse Club of Roanoke, Inc. was formed in 2008 to help enhance the growth of the sport of lacrosse at the highest level in Southwest Virginia. Our goal is to become the preeminent lacrosse program in Southwest Virginia. We intend to accomplish this goal by (a) offering appropriately focused lacrosse programs for each age and level of ability, and (b) recruiting the best coaches availble for those programs. Our coaches have been our greatest asset from the outset. Excalibur is led by its executive director and director of coaching, Chris Pollock, an experienced coach and a three-time All American midfielder at Roanoke College during his playing career. Excalibur is a year-round lacrosse program which offers both travel programs for more advanced players and developmental programs for players of all levels. The programs are not intended to replace or take precedence over a player’s club or school team. Excalibur’s travel programs are intended to provide additional opportunities to develop as a player by playing with and against experienced players in highly competitive tournaments. A player may play for their school or traditional club team and play travel lacrosse for Excalibur. The Development Programs are intended for players of all levels and are similar to other existing club teams. The Developmental Programs play against local and regional club teams. Excalibur provides an opportunity for all young people, regardless of gender, ethnic origin, size or skill to learn and play the great game of lacrosse. Excalbur Lacrosse Club is an inclusive organization. Excalibur is intended to benefit players from all areas, not just one school or area. Excalibur offers support, when possible, to those players needing financial assistance to play.
