Emory Comes Up Short Against UNC-CharlotteApr. 22, 2013 Huntersville, NC- On Saturday April 20th, Emory Men’s Lacrosse played conference opponent the UNC-Charlotte 49ers. Unfortunately for the Eagles, their game on the previous day against Davidson had been cancelled due to weather. From the first whistle, the Eagles were able to control the face-off X with FOS Robert Cooper winning over 75% of the draws on the day, but a short bench from late Spring travel impaired the Eagle's ability to win ground balls and control the pace of the game. The 49ers were able to capitalize on their athleticism and advantage in numbers, and ended up winning the match 13-6. The Eagles return to the SELC Playoffs on Friday April 26th at 5:30pm at Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta GA as the #1 seed out of the southwest region in a matchup against the Citadel, the 2nd seed from the northeast region.
