SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference Awards AnnouncedApr. 22, 2007 DULUTH, GA On Saturday evening, SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference coaches and administrators voted on the 2007 All Conference and All Tournament Teams. Numerous Emory players were honored. Taking home first team All Conference honors was Curt Simmons (Wilmington, DE/Tantall) on midfield and Ryan Covert (St. Louis, MO/Chaminade) on defense. This is now the second year in a row Covert has taken home first team honors while Simmons was an honorable mention face-off specialist last season. On the second team Alex Leung (Short Hills, NJ/Millburn) repeats as an All Conference attackman, while David Laub (Pine Brook, NJ/Montville) was recognized for his sensational play in goal. Receiving honorable mention honors was Stephen Crump (Houston, TX/Lawrenceville) who is psyched about revisiting his home state in the middle of May to conclude his senior campaign. Sophomore, David Morrison (Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) repeats as an honorable mention midfielder after also being given the honor as a freshman. Last but not least his head coach, Dave Reed who was named STX Coach of the Year. Many Emory players noted that giving this award to anyone else who have been a huge mistake. All Tournament honorees included players from each position with Leung, Simmons, Morrison, Covert, and Laub.
