Christa graduated from Santa Fe Christian in Solana Beach, Ca. She has been awarded Academic All-American in 2009 and 2010, All-Coastal League player of the year in 2010, San Diego Hall of Champions 2010 Honorary All-Academic team captain, 2009-2010 CIF Scholar athlete of the year, and 2010 all San Diego 2nd team. She is excited to start her lacrosse career at Cal Poly as a rookie on the A Team. Parents are Eric and Janell Nelson (a Cal Poly alum) and siblings Jeff, Jessica, and Matthew.
