Parents and Players,

I wanted to drop you a quick line to keep you in the loop over the next few weeks. It was great so see many old and new faces at the picnic. As always it was a great time; thanks to our boosters for putting this event on again.

We still have a few spots open for the Mason 7v7 on November 15th. Please let me know if your son would like to play; rosters are going to be capped soon. We have parents willing to car pool should some not be able to take the trip down. I will have more information for those playing about this event in the next few weeks.

Open Fields/Conditioning:

I want to applaud those who are consistently coming our to open fields and getting better. Every fall we evaluate the weather and it appears we should be in good shape through the end of October.

We are going to postpone further lifting and conditioning dates on Mondays and Wednesdays until more of our athletes can join us after fall sports.

Indoor/Open Gyms:

The boosters and I have just finalized our indoor dates and times at Field Sports in Dublin. We will get this information out shortly. We are starting the week after Thanksgiving.

Coaches for 2015:

We are very excited to having a few new faces joining our staff this year as well as many returning. I thought I would give you a quick run down on our staff for this spring.

Varsity:

Mark Forsythe

Matt Eardlitz – Last year Matt served as the Head Coach at Pickerington Central High School. He has had a long coaching career and played at Ohio Wesleyan. Matt will be working with both Coach Kennedy and Lucas with our offense.

Stephen Haller

Connor Kennedy

Kyle Lucas

JV:

Jon Forgy – Jon played at Coffman in the early 2000’s. He was also an all league wrestler and coaches wrestling at Hilliard Davidson. Jon also served as the head Coach at Karrer for a season.

Derek Neiheiser – Derek recently moved to Columbus from Philadelphia. He played at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania and served as a captain his senior year.

Congratulations to our fall athletes on the great success they have had this fall – football, soccer, cross country, and crew are having great years. We are looking forward to replicating it in the spring.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to let me know.

Rock Pride,

M. Forsythe
