News Update!!

Special congratulations to freshman Joe Cusimano!!  Recently named as the Freshman Player of the Year for the SELC DI, as well as to Coach Mike Muetzel, SELC DI Coach of the Year.

Auburn Mens Lacrosse plays in the SELC Conference of the MCLA, competing against top teams from across the southest as well as across the country.  The team is proud to represent the strong academic culture at Auburn University.  The lacrosse heritage and history for this program is very strong with a history of success including Matt Bazar 2002,  and Matt Garibaldi 2003, being recently inducted into the SELC Hall of Fame.

We are so proud of our players and the immense progress they have made, we went from 4-6 in 2012 to 9-4 in 2013.  This team had perhaps some the best team chemistry I have had in 30 years plus of coaching, but with 17 freshmen on the roster, perhaps the lack of experience contributed to consistency issues, but the hustle and heart we expect from all of our players was demonstrated by rallying from four goals down in three of our wins.   We had some signature wins, and some frustrating losses, and some really tough injuries to key players down the stretch.  Our challenge remains continuing to improve, and overall consistency...  But it is a fun team to coach with a lot of talent, hopefully a fun team to play for, and we are truly excited about the direction of the program.  Special thanks to the Auburn Alumni for your support as we look to return to the legacy of success.

We will be a team that competes with a high degree of character, heart and hustle in every contest, transition lacrosse, again, Auburn Lacrosse Fans, we are coming back to level of lacrosse demonstrated by the awesome teams from the past, and we are all looking forward to it,
