The 2010 Junior Raider Lacrosse-athon

On February 6th, the Alpharetta Junior Raider Men’s Lacrosse Team will be conducting it’s first Lacrosse-athon at Alpharetta High School.  This Lacrosse-athon will be a full day of lacrosse activities, including scrimmages, practice and lacrosse based events.  Each member of the Junior Raiders will be accepting sponsorships for this event and all proceeds generated will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Captain John Hallett III.  Captain Hallett was Killed in Action while serving in Afghanistan during 2009 and was the cousin of Junior Raider player Cal Swanson.

The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is “to honor and empower wounded warriors” and their purpose is:

To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization based in Jacksonville, FL.  Their Federal Tax ID # is 20-2370934 and more information can be found at www.woundedwarriorproject.com.
