Blaire Bender 4 goals scored four goals, leading La Costa Canyon to a 10-7 victory over No. 18 Scripps Ranch in a CIF-San Diego Section game Thursday.

The Mavericks led 6-4 at the half and continued to maintain control after the break. Jackie Mills also had 3 goals and 1 assist, while Caroline Kovary scored twice and Sara Nolte added another goal for La Costa Canyon.

Taylor Langston had seven saves for the Mavericks, who are 14-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference. Scripps Ranch falls to 11-3.
