La Costa Canyon got goals from eight players and held San Marcos scoreless in the second half in a 16-2 victory in a CIF-San Diego Section game Wednesday

Kiki Gibson led La Costa Canyon with four goals and Jackie Mills added three goals and two assists. Megan Lax, Jenna Hempsey and Bridget Grubb each finished with two goals each. 

La Costa Canyon opened a 9-2 lead at the half and improved to 12-3 on the season. Paige Soenksen finished with six saves in cage.
