La Costa Canyon Mavericks Girls Lacrosse

Blaire Bender scored four goals and added one assist on Wednesday to lead La Costa Canyon past Carlsbad, 13-6, in a CIF-San Diego Section game. The win was La Costa Canyon’s second consecutive since opening the season with a win against El Toro on March 19.

The loss was Carlsbad’s first of the season after winning three straight. It was the Avocado League opener for both teams.

The Mavericks got two goals from three players – Carly Clark, Jenna Hempsey and Kiki Gibson – and Savannah Boyne, Sara Nolte, and Jackie Mills scored a goal each.
