Bears Welcome The Sooners To The Den, Travel Into Pirate Territory This Weekend.Feb. 15, 2007
On Saturday, February 17th the Bears (4-1, 1-1 LSA-North) will take on the Sooners from the University of Oklahoma. Baylor is coming off of a pair of convincing wins over LSU and the University of Arkansas last weekend. Oklahoma (1-2, 0-2 LSA-North) was off last weekend after having two tough contests against conference leading SMU and Texas Tech the previous week. The Sooners will be looking to avenge a 13-3 loss to the Bears last year up in Norman. Game time will be 2 PM at the Parker Brothers Complex on LaSalle.
Baylor makes the trip down to Georgetown to face the Southwestern Pirates (1-1, 1-0 LSA-B) on February 18th at 1 PM. Southwestern is currently ranked #17 in the MCLA B Division. Baylor played them down in Georgetown last year and left with a bad taste in their mouth after a 9-2 loss to a very talented team. So, Baylor aims to do much better this time against Coach Bowman's squad. So far this year, the Pirates have fallen short against the Texas State Bobcats (12-10) and have beaten the TCU Horned Frogs (4-2).
