Matt Murphy was a starting midfielder all 4 years of high school at The Seven Hills School in Cincinnati, OH. Half way through his senior year, Matt transferred to defense due to the need for more defenders on his team. After suffering a knee injury early on this season, followed by a blow to the face, Matt was unable to practice with the Bears for a portion of the preseason, but since then has made a great recovery. Matt was one of his high school’s leading scorers at midfield throughout his career, and is proving to be a valuable asset for the Baylor Bears .
