QUARTER FINALS PLAY-OFFS (2009-2010 GHSA Class AAAAA Girls Lacrosse Championships)

The AHS Varsity Team advances to the Quarter Finals after winning against Harrision High 15-13.  Great Job Lady Raiders!

JV Girls Lacrosse defeated St. Pius 17--4, to finish the season 12--0.  Goals scored by Kaci Annexstad, Aubrey Spraetz, Blair Roman. Erica Coppage, Parker Nelson,  & Abby Hill.  Assists by Kaci Annexstad, Aubrey Spraetz, Missy Harris, Abby Hill, Erica Coppage, & Tori Manning.  The defense did an excellent job on there end.  Congratulations girls on a great season from Coach Moore!

JV Girls Lacrosse continued there undefeated streak with winning the Northview Tournament on Saturday, 4/17/10.  They beat Grayson in game 1 by 13-1.  Goals scored by Parker Nelson, Aubrey Sprats, Missy Harris, Blair Roman, Kaci Annexstad, Abby Hill.  Anna Corcoran had 4 saves and Sarah Robinson had 2 saves. 

In game 2 they beat Lovett 12-5.  Goals scored by Parker Nelson, Blair Roman, Kaci Annexstad, Taylor Underwood, Erica Coppage, and Aubrey Sprats.  Assists by Missy Harris, Kaci Annexstad, Taylor Underwood, Erica Coppage, & Adjani Jovanovich. 

In the championship game they defeated St. Pius 16-6.  Goals scored by Parker Nelson, Missy Harris, Blair Roman, Kaci Annexstad, Abby Hill, Erica Coppage, & Tori Manning.  Assists by Parker Nelson, Blair Roman, Kaci Annexstad, & Tori Manning.  Anna Krikorian had 5 saves in goal.  Congratulations JV Lady Raiders!

On Wednesday April 14th Veronica Rogusky of Alpharetta High School signed an NCAA Letter of Intent and Letter of Commitment with Pfeiffer University to play Lacrosse on Athletic Scholarship. Veronica has also earned a University Academic Scholarship and was awarded the university's Stokes Scholarship. Veronica plans to study Pre-law at the private university near Charlotte NC. Veronica displaying her awards with her parents Gina and Ryan, AHS Athletic Director Kirk Alexander, Assistant Coach Lori Adkins, Head Coach Sarah Cantrel, Assistant Coach Gayle Rutledge and Principal Mary Ann Charron.
